Las benditas o malditas listas de las mejores canciones de rock o discos son siempre un ejercicio de subjetividad agrupada que puede provocar encendidos debates (ahí radicaría quizá su éxito) y, también, permitir a los no-iniciados descubrir una ingente cantidad de música, lo que es la verdadera y loable consecuencia de todo esto.
Hace unos años, en 2009 concretamente, la cadena VH1 realizó una lista con 700 votantes de cierto nivel, Bono de U2 entre ellos, y eligieron las 100 mejores canciones de la historia del rock and roll.
La lista, que generó su controversia por las destacadas ausencias, también ordena grandes clásicos del rock porque allí pocas o ninguna sobra. Aquí os la dejamos para que opinen.
